# Pillow vs IPTV Smart Player

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pillow at none against IPTV Smart Player's 6. Pillow also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 66%). IPTV Smart Player's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (41 vs 4). On price and rating there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Smart Player sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Pillow asks for nothing beyond the download.

IPTV Smart Player holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smart Player has 41 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Pillow's written reviews are positive against 66% of IPTV Smart Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pillow ships an update every 13 months, IPTV Smart Player every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
