# Quitoque vs Cookomix

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Quitoque at none against Cookomix's 2. Quitoque also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Cookomix's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (166 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cookomix sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Quitoque asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cookomix holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cookomix has 166 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Quitoque's written reviews are positive against 90% of Cookomix's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quitoque ships an update every 4 days, Cookomix every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
