# Microsoft Solitaire Collection vs Hwatu

The clearest difference is rating: Microsoft Solitaire Collection at 4.7 against Hwatu's 3.6. Microsoft Solitaire Collection also leads on ratings volume (255K vs 10) and chart position (#172 vs unranked). Hwatu's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Solitaire Collection sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Hwatu sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Solitaire Collection has 255K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 36% and 36% positive.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection ships an update every 6 weeks, Hwatu weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
