# Gyroscope vs Diarly

The clearest difference is ads: Diarly at none against Gyroscope's shown. Diarly also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 65%) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 52). Gyroscope's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gyroscope sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per 7 days and Diarly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Gyroscope against 4.7 for Diarly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diarly has 1.5K ratings behind it against 52, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Gyroscope's written reviews are positive against 85% of Diarly's.

Gyroscope ships an update every 9 days, Diarly fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
