# Gyroscope vs Exhale App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Exhale App at free with in-app purchases against Gyroscope's subscription. Exhale App also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (76% vs 65%). Gyroscope's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gyroscope sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per 7 days and Exhale App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gyroscope holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 50 and 148 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Gyroscope's written reviews are positive against 76% of Exhale App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gyroscope ships an update weekly, Exhale App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
