# MIXT vs Blue Bottle Coffee

The clearest difference is ads: MIXT at none against Blue Bottle Coffee's shown. Blue Bottle Coffee's advantage is ratings volume (9.2K vs 1.2K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blue Bottle Coffee holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blue Bottle Coffee has 9.2K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of MIXT's written reviews are positive against 25% of Blue Bottle Coffee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MIXT ships an update every 4 weeks, Blue Bottle Coffee monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
