# MIXT vs Star India

The clearest difference is rating: Star India at 5.0 against MIXT's 4.6. Star India also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). MIXT's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 5). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Star India holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MIXT has 1.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MIXT ships an update every 3 weeks, Star India every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
