# Lookit AR vs Scan

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scan at every 3 days against Lookit AR's every 2 months. Lookit AR's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lookit AR ships an update every 2 months, Scan every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
