# Tinkafont vs Custom Font Maker Keyboard

The clearest difference is rating: Custom Font Maker Keyboard at 4.4 against Tinkafont's 3.4. Tinkafont's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tinkafont sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Custom Font Maker Keyboard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Custom Font Maker Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 41 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Tinkafont's written reviews are positive against 50% of Custom Font Maker Keyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tinkafont ships an update every 2 weeks, Custom Font Maker Keyboard every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
