# Magic Chess 3D vs Nat20

The clearest difference is rating: Nat20 at 5.0 against Magic Chess 3D's 3.5. Nat20 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Magic Chess 3D's advantage is ratings volume (82 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Chess 3D sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Nat20 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nat20 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Chess 3D has 82 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Magic Chess 3D ships an update every 3 months, Nat20 every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
