# Selfridges vs Gertrude

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gertrude at 100% against Selfridges's 33%. Gertrude also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Selfridges's advantage is ratings volume (6.6K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gertrude holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Selfridges has 6.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Selfridges's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gertrude's.

Selfridges ships an update every 3 weeks, Gertrude every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
