# Aloha Browser vs Float

The clearest difference is ads: Aloha Browser at none against Float's shown. Aloha Browser also leads on ratings volume (314K vs 8.9K) and chart position (#101 vs unranked). Float's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (64% vs 49%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aloha Browser sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Float sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Aloha Browser against 4.7 for Float. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha Browser has 314K ratings behind it against 8.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of Aloha Browser's written reviews are positive against 64% of Float's.

Aloha Browser ships an update fortnightly, Float every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
