# Aloha Browser vs Ad blocker

The clearest difference is rating: Aloha Browser at 4.7 against Ad blocker's 4.3. Aloha Browser also leads on ratings volume (315K vs 21) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Ad blocker's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 49%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aloha Browser sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Ad blocker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aloha Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aloha Browser has 315K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Aloha Browser's written reviews are positive against 60% of Ad blocker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aloha Browser ships an update fortnightly, Ad blocker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
