# Burn Boot Camp vs CBBA

The clearest difference is monetization model: CBBA at free against Burn Boot Camp's free with in-app purchases. CBBA also leads on iOS requirement (11.4 vs 13.0). Burn Boot Camp's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Burn Boot Camp against 5.0 for CBBA. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Burn Boot Camp has 17K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Burn Boot Camp ships an update every 3 weeks, CBBA every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
