# Burn Boot Camp vs PCG Virtual

The clearest difference is update cadence: Burn Boot Camp at every 3 weeks against PCG Virtual's every 8 months. Burn Boot Camp also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). PCG Virtual's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Burn Boot Camp against 5.0 for PCG Virtual. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Burn Boot Camp has 17K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Burn Boot Camp ships an update every 3 weeks, PCG Virtual every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
