# Raftr vs Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･

The clearest difference is rating: Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･ at 4.6 against Raftr's 3.2. Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･ also leads on ratings volume (5.1K vs 53) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Raftr's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Raftr asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･ has 5.1K ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Raftr's written reviews are positive against 24% of Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Raftr ships an update every 10 days, Sidechat ｡･ﾟﾟ･ weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
