# Bamba BBQ (Lite) vs Splingo

The clearest difference is ads: Bamba BBQ (Lite) at none against Splingo's shown. Bamba BBQ (Lite) also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (3.8 vs 3.5). Splingo's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bamba BBQ (Lite) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Splingo sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bamba BBQ (Lite) holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bamba BBQ (Lite) has 32 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Bamba BBQ (Lite)'s written reviews are positive against 35% of Splingo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bamba BBQ (Lite) ships an update every 7 months, Splingo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
