# Kitty in the Box 2 vs Fox Evolution

Kitty in the Box 2 and Fox Evolution both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of Kitty in the Box 2's written reviews are positive against 46% of Fox Evolution's. Fox Evolution's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 177). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kitty in the Box 2 sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Fox Evolution sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fox Evolution holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fox Evolution has 2.4K ratings behind it against 177, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Kitty in the Box 2's written reviews are positive against 46% of Fox Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kitty in the Box 2 ships an update every 3 weeks, Fox Evolution every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
