# PromptSmart Pro Remote Control vs RWIS Cams

The clearest difference is update cadence: PromptSmart Pro Remote Control at every 9 months against RWIS Cams's every 25 months. RWIS Cams's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RWIS Cams holds the better App Store score, 1.4 against 1.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 32 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of PromptSmart Pro Remote Control's written reviews are positive against 10% of RWIS Cams's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PromptSmart Pro Remote Control ships an update every 9 months, RWIS Cams every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
