# Backgammon vs HexVolt

The clearest difference is update cadence: HexVolt at every 3 days against Backgammon's monthly. Backgammon's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and HexVolt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon ships an update monthly, HexVolt every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
