# R vs 潮目

The clearest difference is ads: R at none against 潮目's shown. R also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. R sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and 潮目 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

R ships an update fortnightly, 潮目 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
