# Skylight vs Storma

The clearest difference is monetization model: Storma at free against Skylight's paid. Storma also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 73%). Skylight's advantage is ratings volume (107 vs 12). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Skylight against 4.8 for Storma. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skylight has 107 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of Skylight's written reviews are positive against 100% of Storma's.

Skylight ships an update every 6 weeks, Storma monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
