# SportsEngine Play vs sidelineHD

The clearest difference is ads: SportsEngine Play at none against sidelineHD's shown. SportsEngine Play also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (689 vs 81). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SportsEngine Play sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and sidelineHD sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SportsEngine Play ships an update fortnightly, sidelineHD every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
