# TextMagic vs TextSanity

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TextSanity at 100% against TextMagic's 31%. TextSanity also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). TextMagic's advantage is ratings volume (263 vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TextSanity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextMagic has 263 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of TextMagic's written reviews are positive against 100% of TextSanity's.

TextMagic ships an update every 2 weeks, TextSanity every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
