# Focus Matrix vs Taskman

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Focus Matrix at 1.6K against Taskman's 2. Taskman's advantage is iOS requirement (14.5 vs 16.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Matrix sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Taskman sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Focus Matrix against 4.5 for Taskman. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Matrix has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
