# Focus Matrix vs Ikigai DIY

The clearest difference is ads: Ikigai DIY at none against Focus Matrix's shown. Ikigai DIY also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Focus Matrix's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 50%) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 7). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Matrix sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ikigai DIY sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Focus Matrix against 4.6 for Ikigai DIY. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Matrix has 1.6K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.
