# Focus Matrix vs Matrix Manager

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Focus Matrix at 82% against Matrix Manager's 33%. Focus Matrix also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 2). Matrix Manager's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Matrix sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Matrix Manager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Matrix Manager holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Matrix has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Focus Matrix's written reviews are positive against 33% of Matrix Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Focus Matrix ships an update every 7 months, Matrix Manager every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
