# Timestamp Camcorder vs Telemetry Camera

The clearest difference is update cadence: Telemetry Camera at weekly against Timestamp Camcorder's every 3 months. Telemetry Camera also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.0). Timestamp Camcorder's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 43%) and ratings volume (131 vs 34). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timestamp Camcorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Telemetry Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Telemetry Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 131 and 34 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Timestamp Camcorder's written reviews are positive against 43% of Telemetry Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timestamp Camcorder ships an update every 3 months, Telemetry Camera weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
