# Smash Rocket vs Space Frontier

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smash Rocket at 100% against Space Frontier's 47%. Smash Rocket also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Space Frontier's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (14K vs 4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smash Rocket sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Space Frontier sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Space Frontier holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space Frontier has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Smash Rocket's written reviews are positive against 47% of Space Frontier's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smash Rocket ships an update weekly, Space Frontier every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
