# Mindvalley vs Impulse

The clearest difference is monetization model: Impulse at free with in-app purchases against Mindvalley's subscription. Impulse also leads on ratings volume (852K vs 7.1K) and chart position (#16 vs #94). Mindvalley's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindvalley sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and Impulse sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Mindvalley against 4.7 for Impulse. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Impulse has 852K ratings behind it against 7.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of Mindvalley's written reviews are positive against 70% of Impulse's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
