# Mars vs Jailbreak!

The clearest difference is ads: Jailbreak! at none against Mars's shown. Jailbreak! also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). Mars's advantage is review sentiment (91% vs 60%) and ratings volume (22K vs 243). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mars sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Jailbreak! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mars holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mars has 22K ratings behind it against 243, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of Mars's written reviews are positive against 60% of Jailbreak!'s.

Mars ships an update monthly, Jailbreak! weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
