# ENSPIRE Controller vs Illuminate 1.0

The clearest difference is rating: Illuminate 1.0 at 2.7 against ENSPIRE Controller's 2.0. Illuminate 1.0 also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). ENSPIRE Controller's advantage is ratings volume (98 vs 3) and review sentiment (18% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Illuminate 1.0 holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ENSPIRE Controller has 98 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of ENSPIRE Controller's written reviews are positive against 0% of Illuminate 1.0's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
