# Trackwired vs PVR

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PVR at none against Trackwired's 12. PVR also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Trackwired's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trackwired sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PVR asks for nothing beyond the download.

PVR holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Trackwired's written reviews are positive against 50% of PVR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trackwired ships an update every 2 months, PVR every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
