# VDP vs V

The clearest difference is rating: VDP at 3.7 against V's 2.4. VDP also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). V's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (25% vs 11%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VDP holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of VDP's written reviews are positive against 25% of V's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VDP ships an update every 2 months, V every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
