# Mindi vs Mindi Gold

The clearest difference is rating: Mindi Gold at 5.0 against Mindi's 3.8. Mindi Gold also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Mindi's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mindi Gold holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindi has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mindi ships an update fortnightly, Mindi Gold every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
