# Polyforge vs Lost Sock

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lost Sock at every 5 weeks against Polyforge's every 26 months. Polyforge's advantage is ratings volume (930 vs 35) and review sentiment (94% vs 81%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polyforge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lost Sock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Polyforge against 4.6 for Lost Sock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Polyforge has 930 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Polyforge's written reviews are positive against 81% of Lost Sock's.

Polyforge ships an update every 26 months, Lost Sock every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
