# Task Master vs ABTimers

The clearest difference is rating: Task Master at 5.0 against ABTimers's 4.5. Task Master also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 56 months). ABTimers's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 73%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ABTimers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Task Master asks for nothing beyond the download.

Task Master holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Task Master's written reviews are positive against 100% of ABTimers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Task Master ships an update monthly, ABTimers every 56 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
