# MagicAir vs Liebherr SmartDevice

The clearest difference is rating: MagicAir at 4.4 against Liebherr SmartDevice's 1.7. MagicAir also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Liebherr SmartDevice's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and ratings volume (42 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MagicAir holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Liebherr SmartDevice has 42 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of MagicAir's written reviews are positive against 21% of Liebherr SmartDevice's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MagicAir ships an update monthly, Liebherr SmartDevice fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
