# Funcom vs Alwan

The clearest difference is price: Alwan at Free against Funcom's $59.99. Alwan also leads on rating (3.8 vs 2.9) and in-app purchases (none vs 12). Funcom's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (244 vs 18). On review sentiment, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Alwan is free to download; Funcom costs $59.99 up front. Funcom sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Alwan asks for nothing beyond the download.

Alwan holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Funcom has 244 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Funcom's written reviews are positive against 20% of Alwan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Funcom ships an update weekly, Alwan every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
