# Science Channel GO vs Spectrum Access

The clearest difference is ads: Spectrum Access at none against Science Channel GO's shown. Spectrum Access also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 45%). Science Channel GO's advantage is ratings volume (5.2K vs 151). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Science Channel GO holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Science Channel GO has 5.2K ratings behind it against 151, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Science Channel GO's written reviews are positive against 76% of Spectrum Access's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
