# mCamView2 vs CDMS Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: mCamView2 at 5.0 against CDMS Mobile's 4.2. mCamView2 also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). CDMS Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

mCamView2 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDMS Mobile has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of mCamView2's written reviews are positive against 39% of CDMS Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

mCamView2 ships an update every 5 months, CDMS Mobile every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
