# Timelines Time Tracking vs Hourlytics

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hourlytics at every 4 days against Timelines Time Tracking's monthly. Timelines Time Tracking's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 4) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timelines Time Tracking sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Hourlytics sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timelines Time Tracking holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timelines Time Tracking has 1.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Timelines Time Tracking's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hourlytics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timelines Time Tracking ships an update monthly, Hourlytics every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
