# Tikkie vs Ockto

Tikkie and Ockto both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Ockto's written reviews are positive against 19% of Tikkie's. Ockto also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Tikkie's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 27). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Tikkie against 4.9 for Ockto. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tikkie has 1.5K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of Tikkie's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ockto's.

Tikkie ships an update monthly, Ockto fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
