# VPN vs MFA

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN at 91% against MFA's 25%. VPN also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (18K vs 2). MFA's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and MFA sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 18K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 25% of MFA's.

VPN ships an update fortnightly, MFA every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
