# LaunchGood vs NewsNav

The clearest difference is ads: LaunchGood at none against NewsNav's shown. LaunchGood also leads on ratings volume (81 vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). NewsNav's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NewsNav holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LaunchGood has 81 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
