# Say Allo vs Holidate

The clearest difference is rating: Holidate at 4.4 against Say Allo's 3.7. Holidate also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Say Allo's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 0%) and ratings volume (180 vs 18). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Say Allo sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Holidate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Holidate holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Say Allo has 180 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Say Allo's written reviews are positive against 0% of Holidate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Say Allo ships an update every 3 weeks, Holidate every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
