# Conversion Calculator Plus vs Handy Units

The clearest difference is ads: Handy Units at none against Conversion Calculator Plus's shown. Handy Units also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Conversion Calculator Plus's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Conversion Calculator Plus sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and Handy Units sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Handy Units holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Conversion Calculator Plus has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
