# Delayed Camera vs Riverside

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Delayed Camera at 80% against Riverside's 36%. Delayed Camera also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). Riverside's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riverside sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Delayed Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

Riverside holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Riverside has 20K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Delayed Camera's written reviews are positive against 36% of Riverside's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Delayed Camera ships an update every 3 months, Riverside every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
