# Drawing Pad vs Note Widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: Note Widget at weekly against Drawing Pad's every 2 months. Note Widget also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Drawing Pad's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 64%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drawing Pad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Note Widget sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6.9K and 12K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Drawing Pad's written reviews are positive against 64% of Note Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drawing Pad ships an update every 2 months, Note Widget weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
