# Secure Lox vs SmartMesh

The clearest difference is update cadence: SmartMesh at every 6 days against Secure Lox's every 3 months. SmartMesh also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Secure Lox ships an update every 3 months, SmartMesh every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
